Bugra Turan

PRINCIPAL RESEARCHER Koc University Ford Otosan Automotive Tech. Lab.

Bugra Turan is a principal researcher at the Vehicular Connectivity Research group of Koc University Ford Otosan Automotive Technologies Laboratory. Mr. Turan received his M.S. degree from University of Southern California, Los Angeles, CA, USA and PhD. degree from Koc University, Istanbul, Turkey, both in electrical engineering.

From 2010 to 2012 he was involved in joint Urban Mobility projects with Volkswagen Electronics Research Laboratory (ERL) and University of Southern California. From 2014 to 2019 Bugra served as Connected Vehicles Program coordinator of Wireless Networks Laboratory of Koc University, leading inter-vehicular and intra-vehicular connectivity projects between university and industry partnerships.

Additionally, he served as Vehicular Connectivity Board Member in the high advisory council of TAYSAD, TOSB, Turkey 5G Open Test Site, European Union Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA) Programme and Investment Office of the Presidency of Turkey.

Bugra’s research interests include Vehicular Communications, 5G and beyond networks for unmanned vehicles.
