Atis Elsts is a senior researcher at the Institute of Electronics and Computer Science (EDI) and a Honorary Senior Research Associate at the University of Bristol, UK. At EDI, Atis is leading the FEATURE research project (Energy-eFficient hEAlTh and behavioUR monitoring with wEarable devices and the IoT).
Prior to that, he has been a Teaching and Research Assistant at the University of Latvia, an Acting Researcher at the Institute of Electronics & Computer Science in Latvia, and he also has worked as a programmer at MikroTik.
He has authored and co-authored more than 40 scientific publications, and has a postdoctoral research experience in Uppsala University (Sweden), RISE SICS (Sweden), and University of Bristol (UK), where he was a member of the Digital Health Engineering group.
