Gerbold is a French researcher in mesoscopic physics who works at LPENS in Paris. He has specialized in low-dimensionality (1D & 2D) systems and their potential topological signatures.
Gerbold graduated from Sorbonne Université in Paris and did a postdoctoral stay at Copenhagen before coming back to France for two other postdoctoral contracts. Since 2022, he has been a CNRS junior researcher working at ENS in Paris on studying anyonic properties of quasiparticles in the quantum Hall effect using micro-wave methods in interferometric systems.
