Ilona Platonova has more than 25 years of work experience in the private and public sectors. Currently, she is leading the digital transformation of schools at the Ministry of Education and Science of Latvia and is a lecturer at the BA School of Business and Finance in Riga.
Ilona’s expertise topics are business models and international business growth. Most of her work projects have been linked to innovation – accession negotiations in the EU was a unique project for Latvia; Arena Riga’s business model had no equivalent experience. She has also participated in introducing new products to the Latvian market.
Ilona’s previous experience with multiple aspects of economic transformation has developed an interest in the 5G ecosystem and legal challenges that limit business development in this complex topic.
