Janis is a Partner at Deloitte Central Europe, leading Tax and Legal consulting and Business Process Solutions business in Latvia. He holds a Master degree in Law from University of Latvia and Executive Master of Business Administration from Stockholm School of Economics in Riga.
He has a wide range of practical experience in both international and Latvian taxation matters, and his client portfolio includes top Latvian and international groups doing business in Latvia in different industries, including technology and business services.
Janis has been involved in a significant number of large investment projects (ranging from EUR 10M to 100M), helping the clients to prepare business plans and obtain state aid and tax incentives.
In addition to the client work, he is actively participating in working groups dealing with the tax policy and tax law change. Janis is a member of National Strategy Council at Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LTRK).
