Dr. Nikolaos Tsampieris is Senior Manager of Innovation and Development at ERTICO ITS Europe. He holds an MEng in Electronics & Computer Engineering, an MSc in Digital Communication Systems, and a Ph.D. in Digital Signal Processing Techniques for Communication Systems.
Nikolaos has extensive communication systems and technologies expertise, having assumed senior research and management positions in academia, telecommunications, and defence industry. As ERTICO’s expert in 5G and digitalization, he oversees respective research and development efforts in 5G and beyond connectivity. He participates in the coordination and execution of several EU innovation actions and proposal development in 5G for cooperative, connected, automated mobility, transport, and logistics, and 6G within the HORIZON 2020 and SNS JU Program frameworks.
He’s also representing ERTICO in several expert forums. He has a leading role in the SHOW project, currently Europe’s most significant and holistic real-life CCAV urban demonstration initiative.
