Dr. Polyzois (Zois) Kokkonis has over 20 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, working with major vendors. After leading software development teams, he turned into a product and business development manager for several worldwide deployed solutions. His interests and expertise in partner management led to extensive work in forging the diverse ecosystems around open APIs, seeking new data management and monetisation models.
In 2021 he took the exciting opportunity to work for the European Space Agency in the Telecommunications and Integrated Applications Directorate as a Future Programmes Officer, engaging the space innovation ecosystems with non-traditional areas.
Zois is interested in the digital transformation of our world and the role of space, and – being a physicist – quite fascinated with the quantum hype. He holds a B.Sc. in Physics from the University of Athens in Greece and a Ph.D. from the University of Münster, as well as an M.B.A. degree from the Hellenic Open University.
