Being a pioneer in the mobile telecommunication industry, Raffaele has served Telecom Italia Mobile (TIM) International Operations and Domestic Strategy and Innovation departments for over 25 years. He’s played a pivotal role in transforming TIM’s business model from voice to digital services.
Currently, he serves as a Strategy Officer in the TIM Strategy department, where he’s in charge of business impact analysis of high-impact technologies like AI. He’s also an economist in TIM’s Think Tank to provide economic impact analysis of novel telecommunications and digital technologies. Raffaele has been responsible for TIM partnership programs with GSMA and MIT for over 15 years, fueling TIM’s business transformation process with first-class innovation.
Mr. de Peppe has been elected twice as a Board Member of the 5G IAa and has provided business-driven and industrial guidance to European-funded 5G research programs. His main achievement as a Board Member was to open the Association to a broader ecosystem of relevant European industries, establishing partnership agreements with organizations such as 5GAA, ERTICO, 5G ACIA ESA, NEM, PSCE, and ECSO to create an impact for 5G in various vertical sectors.
