Sigrid Jessen is a Research Fellow at Nordregio Research Institute. She is the project manager for the research project Digital Inclusion in Action, which investigates how digital exclusion is expressed in the Nordic and Baltic countries and how the countries in the region work towards achieving digital inclusion.
Ms. Jessen has an academic background in economic geography and innovation studies and specializes in barriers to technological and innovative adoption. Among other things in her research career, she has extensively researched which and why regions and groups are challenged in the digital transformation.
