Simo Hallikainen is a Senior System Designer and Specialist at Erillisverkot, focusing on developing and testing secure communications and quantum encryption technologies.
At Erillisverkot, Simo works on lab and field testing of Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) systems as part of the EuroQCI project, which aims to establish a secure quantum communication infrastructure across Europe, as well as the NaQCI.fi consortium, Finland’s national initiative to develop quantum-secured networks.
With over 20 years of experience in telecommunications, he has worked with both national and multinational telecom operators, specializing in network security, resilient timing technologies, and testing critical communications systems.
Simo has studied telecommunications at Häme University of Applied Sciences and brings extensive expertise in mobile network operations, cybersecurity, and resilient communications solutions.
