Vyacheslavs Kashcheyevs is a professor of physics at University of Latvia and a leading expert on single-electron quantum technologies for fundamental metrology and sensing. The nanoelectonics theory group lead by professor Kashcheyevs collaborates with a wide network of experimental laboratories across Europe and is a partner and a coordinator of several European research and innovation projects. His research work and public engagement has recieved many recognitions, including awards by World Economic Forum (2013) for new principle of quantized current generation and Latvian Academy of Sciences (2021) for science popularisation. Professor Kashcheyevs is a co-director of the Latvian Quantum initiative and European Quantum flagship Quantum Community Network representative for Latvia.
